Uncoated Sheet Steel

An uncoated steel sheet is any material that has not undergone a secondary treatment to enhance features such as corrosion resistance or ductility. Uncoated steel sheet is still a suitable material for numerous applications, regardless of additional treatment. Customers may prefer uncoated steel sheets when a final treatment comes after fabrication takes place.

Galvanized Sheet Steel

Galvanizing is the process of dipping a coil into a large bed to apply a zinc coating to protect the steel and prevent atmospheric corrosion. Generally, galvanized treated sheet steel is more ductile and easier to process than alternate options. Galvanized products can be used in construction projects, industrial walkways, awnings, and many other applications.

Coated Sheet Steel

A coated steel sheet undergoes a finish application process to provide a supplemental protective layer that enhances the resistance to corrosion, scratches, or other types of surface damage. In addition to its suitability for harsh environments, coated steel sheets have many aesthetic advantages over uncoated or galvanized steel.
